A lot is packed into Thinking about Thinking! Designed for an adult to read and enjoy with a child or small group, our fun, digital content is for kids who benefit from visual, clear, and direct teaching that includes photos of real people doing real things. Our engaging questions and activities allow kids to demonstrate learning and to practice expressive communication and skills like paying attention, following directions, and turn-taking. Thinking is also an excellent opportunity to help kids build receptive language and for having a little fun with a child! It’s a great kick-off for Talking about Thinking (communicating to others) and Guessing about Thinking (guessing what others are thinking). Due to the COVID-19 situation, we have added content to encourage children to seek out an adult to talk about their thoughts and feelings.

I have worked with people with autism and their teachers and families for over 33 years. Teaching them how to understand their thoughts and the thoughts of others is very challenging. I am so happy to have this resource in my bag of tricks! I am positive that I will use it frequently and encourage the families I serve to use it too.
